If you detect a neck mass, it's important to get it checked. Clear Lake Medical Center ENT can diagnose the issue and offer a detailed treatment plan to address its cause.

What are the treatment options?
Symptoms to watch for are a visible neck mass, a mass that persists for more than 2-3 weeks, a mass that is getting larger, vocal changes, pain when swallowing, difficulty swallowing, ear pain, difficulty hearing, unexplained weight loss, or a high fever.
The first step is to get evaluated by one of our ENT doctors. An endoscopy, x-rays, or other tests may be done to help identify the underlying cause. Antibiotics may be prescribed as a treatment option if the mass proves to be caused by infection. Some masses turn out to be cancerous which may require surgery to remove the mass.
