Allergy testing is performed on the upper back by pricking the skin with a plastic device containing allergens. Intradermal injections to the upper arm may be necessary to provide additional information.
Approximately 15 to 20 minutes after application, a trained professional interprets results by measuring any development of a wheal, swelling, or flare. Complete testing is expected to last at least an hour.
We test for multiple different allergens, including (but not limited to) weeds, grasses, trees, dust mites, molds, dogs, and cats.
